Thanks for stopping in!
I grew up in a Taiwanese family on the ancestral lands of the Tongva people aka Los Angeles area, specifically the 626 (if you know, you know).
I consider myself an environmentalist, outdoorist, and low key foodie – basically just like to eat, but too lazy to find the next new, hip place. I’ve dabbled across the environmental space from consulting to government work to outdoor jobs like being a park ranger. Clearly I’m still trying to find my place in this world.
Currently, I reside on the ancestral lands of the Duwamish and Coast Salish people aka Seattle. On almost any given day, you’ll likely find me either hiking, climbing, backpacking, camping or just being a potato with some good food, company, and show.
Why me and viv?
At first, I thought it would be fun to have a website of my photos and travels – typical. I’ve always loved the idea of sharing and wanted people to join me on my trips as if we were there together like two good pals.
After talking with a friend and months of pushing this website back, I realized I wanted to expand it beyond just my adventures. Let’s be real, the internet doesn’t need another travel blog. I wanted my website to be more personal and have a space to spill my thoughts and write freely.
So, let’s get to know one another and tackle this thing called life together. And the next time you chat with your friends, let them know you’ve been kicking it with Viv- just me and Viv.
We’re all just a work in progress
So take a deep breath and drink a glass of water. We’re going to be okay.
